Precipice Health, LLC

Clinical Intelligence. Data-Driven Medicine. Just-In-Time Care.

We build clinical intelligence platforms that transform the data patients already generate into the transparency, evidence, and power they need to fight for their health.

Three guideposts that shape every decision we make โ€” from the features we build to the partnerships we pursue.

Our Mission
To build technology that transforms patient-generated health data into clinical intelligence โ€” giving every patient the tools to understand their condition, communicate with their providers, and fight for the care they deserve.

Most health apps ask patients to log their symptoms and give them a chart in return. We believe that's a missed opportunity of historic proportions.

The data patients generate every day โ€” their pain levels, their triggers, their medication responses, their functional impact โ€” is the most valuable health evidence in the world. But it sits in diaries, spreadsheets, and apps that do nothing with it.

Precipice Health exists to change that. We build platforms that take patient data and transform it into clinical scores that physicians trust, legal documents that disability systems accept, and predictive intelligence that helps patients avoid their next attack.

We don't practice medicine. We don't replace doctors. We give patients the data-driven tools to be active participants in their own care โ€” and to fight the systems that stand between them and the help they need.

Our Vision
A world where no patient loses their career, their benefits, or their medication access because they couldn't document what was happening to them.

Today, a migraine patient who can't compile MIDAS scores, step therapy documentation, and prior authorization letters loses access to the medications that could change their life. A veteran who can't document prostrating hours and functional limitations gets denied the disability rating they earned through service.

This isn't a technology failure. It's a documentation failure. The data exists โ€” in the patient's lived experience. Nobody built the bridge between that experience and the systems that need to see it.

Our vision is a future where that bridge is automatic. Where every patient who logs their daily health data is simultaneously building the strongest possible case for their care, their coverage, and their rights.

We see a future where doctors receive continuous patient intelligence instead of 15-minute snapshots. Where insurance companies can't deny coverage because the evidence is irrefutable. Where disability systems approve claims on the first submission because the documentation is flawless.

That future starts with migraine. It extends to every chronic condition where patients suffer in silence because the documentation burden is too high.

Our North Star
When a neurologist says "bring your Precipice Health data to your next appointment," we've established the standard. When every other app follows our model, we've changed the industry.

Our north star isn't a revenue target or a user count. It's a moment.

The moment a neurologist looks at a patient's data and says: "This is the most complete picture of your condition I've ever seen."

The moment a VA rater reviews a claims package and says: "This is the best-documented migraine claim I've evaluated."

The moment an insurance company receives a prior authorization letter and approves it โ€” because the evidence leaves no room for denial.

The moment a patient who was counted out realizes their data gave them the power to fight back โ€” and win.

When those moments become routine, not exceptional โ€” when data-driven patient advocacy is the norm, not the innovation โ€” we'll have reached our north star. Until then, we build.

How We Operate

Our Values

These aren't aspirations on a wall. They're commitments that constrain every decision we make.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
Patients First. Always.
Every feature exists because a patient needed it. Not because metrics demanded it. Not because a board wanted it.

We have no investors. No board of directors. No quarterly earnings pressure. The only question we ask before building anything is: "Does this help a patient?"

If the answer is yes, we build it. If the answer is "it would help our revenue," we pause and ask again. Revenue follows value. Not the other way around.

Your Data Is Yours.
We will never sell, share, or monetize personal patient data. Your diary entries, your scores, your documents โ€” they belong to you.

In an industry where patient data is routinely harvested, packaged, and sold to the highest bidder, we take a different position: your health data is as personal as your medical record, and we treat it that way.

Every piece of data is encrypted, isolated with row-level security, and accessible only to you and the providers you explicitly authorize. We don't run ads. We don't build user profiles for marketing. We don't share data with insurers, employers, or anyone else โ€” unless you choose to.

We Don't Practice Medicine.
We build tools that help patients communicate with their doctors. All clinical outputs are drafts requiring professional review.

This isn't a disclaimer โ€” it's a design principle. We believe patients and physicians each bring irreplaceable expertise to healthcare. The patient knows their experience. The physician knows the medicine.

Our role is to bridge the gap โ€” to give patients the data tools to communicate their experience clearly, and to give physicians the continuous intelligence to make better decisions. We empower the conversation. We don't replace either party.

Veteran-Owned. Mission-Driven.
Founded by a veteran who lost his career to the condition he now fights. We operate with military discipline and an unwavering commitment to service.

Military service teaches you that mission comes before comfort, that discipline creates freedom, and that you never leave anyone behind. Those principles didn't stay in uniform โ€” they're embedded in how we build, how we prioritize, and how we treat the people we serve.

When a veteran uses our platform to document their disability claim, it's personal. When a patient uses our tools to fight an insurance denial, we feel it. This isn't a business to us. It's a continuation of service.

Revenue-Funded. No Investors.
We grow on earned revenue and mission-aligned grants. No venture capital. No board pressure. No exit timeline.

We made a deliberate choice: no investors. Not because we couldn't raise capital, but because investor incentives eventually conflict with patient interests.

When an investor needs a return, prices go up, free features get paywalled, and patient data becomes a monetization opportunity. We refuse to build that company.

We grow when our users find value. We sustain when they choose to pay for premium features. We expand when grants fund our clinical research. Every dollar is earned, not borrowed against our users' trust.

Excellence. Always.
We don't ship "good enough." Every clinical score, every generated document, every data visualization meets the standard we'd want for our own care.

Our founder spent a career as a Chief Data Officer holding enterprise systems to the highest standards of data integrity, accuracy, and reliability. Those standards didn't lower when the domain shifted from federal analytics to patient health.

If anything, they increased. A revenue dashboard that's 95% accurate is acceptable. A MIDAS score that's 95% accurate could cost someone their disability benefits. We build for 100% โ€” because patients deserve nothing less.

The Story Behind the Mission

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ
USN Veteran USMC Veteran Former Federal Senior Executive Former Chief Data Officer Migraine Patient

They Counted Him Out.
His Story Wasn't Over.

Roger served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps before building a career in enterprise data leadership โ€” culminating in a role as Chief Data Officer in the federal government's Senior Executive Service. A lifetime of service. A lifetime of preparation. The role he'd always been building toward.

Then chronic migraines made it impossible to continue. The career ended โ€” not by choice, not by performance, but by a disease that the healthcare system couldn't adequately document, the insurance system wouldn't adequately cover, and the disability system wouldn't adequately recognize.

So he built the tools that should have existed.

The same data discipline that built enterprise analytics for the U.S. Treasury now builds transparency, evidence, and power for patients everywhere. The career didn't end. It found the mission it was always preparing for.

"Nobody should have to fight their insurance company, their disability claim, and their own brain at the same time โ€” without data, without documentation, and without a fighting chance."
